バリ島・ウブドで新たなナイトコンテンツ「HIKARIA – Beyond the Paradise」がオープンしました！

この作品全体のメインビジュアル、ロゴ、立体オブジェのキャラクターデザイン、そしてストーリーの挿絵まで、ビジュアル面を幅広く担当させていただきました。最初に取りかかったのは、物語の中心となる二体のキャラクターデザイン。  描き下ろしたキャラクターを、現地の職人さんたちが伝統的な竹建築の技法で立体として再現。  少しずつ形になっていく過程の写真を受け取るたび、胸が高鳴り、ワクワクが止まりませんでした。

また、福岡・油山や長崎・雲仙での制作同様、今回はバリの物語に合わせて7点のストーリーイラストを描き下ろしました。  現地の伝統模様や舞踊の要素を取り入れるため、文化や意匠について調べながら制作に挑みました。制作チームはこれまでもご一緒した信頼のある方々！安心して自由に表現を広げる事が出来ました。海外でここまで本格的に関わる仕事は初めてでしたが、新しい景色に触れながら描く時間はとても貴重な経験でした。

Exciting news! A new night experience, HIKARIA – Beyond the Paradise, has just opened in Ubud, Bali!

I was fortunate to work on many visual aspects of this project—from the main visual and logo to designing the character sculptures recreated by local bamboo artisans, plus seven story illustrations inspired by Balinese culture.

The process started with creating the two main characters at the story’s heart. Receiving photos of them slowly coming to life in traditional bamboo craftsmanship filled me with excitement and joy.

Just like my previous illustration work in Fukuoka and Nagasaki, I carefully researched Balinese patterns and dance to bring authentic cultural elements into the art. Working with a trusted team allowed me to freely express my creativity.

This was my first engaging overseas project, and creating art inspired by such a rich culture has been an incredibly valuable and inspiring experience.
